Booooooom Review 10/30

There were a lot of great photographs at Boooom website, but one artist struck my attention more than others. Fantastic Timeslices by Photographer Dan Marker-Moore were amazing. He made collages of photographs taken from the same location and showed the moon shifting towards the sky. It also kind of reminded me of our most recent timelaps project, how we also did the same thing by taking 30 frames per second to create a video effect through photographs. Such a creative way of photographing the skyline of New York.

Triangle Triangle Article Review 10/23

Rainbow Gathering Quebec 2012
By Benoit Paille

I really enjoyed the sky pictures captured by Benoit Paille, and amazed by the fact that how well he captured the stars on the sky by using 30 seconds of exposure. The tree leafs surrounding the skyline with hot red bursting colors draws you in to the picture. I just love the combination of the skyline with the nature. I would like to try taking shots like that as well.

Urbanautica Review 10/16

The website had several sections and categories to look at, and Cars section grabbed my attention as I like the urban, old school looking cars. The nostalgia through the pictures took me back in time and reminded me European looking cars from back home. I enjoyed Hana Miletic's and Douglas Ljungkvist's vintage car photography as well as the very interesting inside the car shots that were involved in severe accidents photographed by Nicolai Howalt.

Aperture Article 10/9

#FF: 13 Aperture Summer Open Photographers on Instagram

http://www.aperture.org/blog/ff-13-aperture-summer-open-photographers-follow/

The article talks about Aperture welcoming the public to their very first Summer Open exhibition. Works by a wider group of photographers were shown at the exhibition to take the temperature of contemporary photography practice. I liked this article because it gave you user names of artists from Instagram, where I do spend quite a bit time looking at all different kind of pictures. The photographs ranged from different varieties and some of them really got my interest. I will be following some of the artist from my Instagram account so that I can keep up with their new posts.
